In Zambia this week, a German tourist was sentenced to 6 years for engaging in oral sex with a 22 year old Zambian woman.
This didn’t take place in a private hotel room or a brothel or even the Oval Office. This product of a superior European education elected to receive his satisfaction in “the bushes” of a public area.
In defense of his transgression, the German tourist said that he didn’t know it was against the law.
Any lawyer can tell you that ignorance of the law is no excuse.
Obviously, local norms weren’t his top concern prior to the crime. This man should get 12 years for his failure to use precedent in his defense. Namely, the Clinton Defense.
Oral sex is not sex. Once you let anyone believe that it might be sex, you can end up rotting in a Zambian jail facing periodic rape from the local insects. Not a good way to end up.
The moral of the story: know your local laws and never let anyone think that they know the real definition of sex.
